Inspiron 1720 Battery Light

The battery light on my 1720 keeps flashing on and off.  It will flash amber for four times, then flash blue once.  I have not been able to find anything in my product manual regarding this indication.  The battery test indicates that the battery has good charge and is functioning normally.  This flashing occurs with or without ac power applied.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.
