Inspiron 1720 CPU Upgrade
I have a Inspiron 1720 with a 1.50 GHz CPU. How can I find out what is the max CPU this motherboard will accept?

The T9500 is the fastest Core 2 Duo (800 MHz bus) -- you cannot use the 1066 MHz bus CPUs, nor any of the new Core i3/5/7 CPUs.
These run about $300 for a tray CPU (no Intel warranty and/or used) to about $500 or so for a boxed CPU with a full warranty.
