Inspiron 1750 - Hard Drive Crash (Windows 7)

Hi, I've had various error messages....internal hard drive disk not found; no bootable devices; start up repair finds no solution..... I have reseated the hard drive several times. Sometimes this solves the problem, however, the computer runs extremely slow. Dell Data Safe had recommended replacing the hard drive ''couple of months" ago. Any suggestions?

The hard drive is in its death spiral.  You'll need a new, 2.5" 9.5  mm or slimmer SATA notebook drive (and if you haven't made recovery media yet, you'll want to do that NOW, before the drive completely fails).

Thank you for your help. I had backed up to external drive a couple of weeks before. Here's hoping.....

Hi, My Dell Inspirion N4010 working smoothly, just next morning when I switch on NO Hard drive detected and go to PXE ROM msg and not boot due to no OS found. BIOS version I think needs to be updated as shows A08 where current version is A13. but since this BIOS file is EXE not even able to run from DOS. Please suggest what to do ASAP. Thanks and Regards, Santosh
