Inspiron 17r 7720 enable Stereoscopic 3D
i have an Inspiron 17r 7720 and a LG LM7600 3DTV. I've connected the laptop the the TV with a HDMI cable, that works great and the display settings show it detects 3D capabilities. I've been trying to play Tomb Raider and the stereoscopic 3D setting are greyed out. Is there something I need to enable?

Hi gheredia82,
Inspiron 17r 7720 is shipped with 2 types of configuration:
- Nvidia Optimus Technology
- Nvidia 3D Vision Technology
Was the system purchased with 3D capability? You may check the system configuration. Click on the link http://dell.to/11iojrK -> type the Service Tag of the computer -> click on System Configuration -> look for the screen configuration if its mentioned as 3D.
In case you are unable to find the information, you may provide the service tag of the computer and the first and last name as it appears on the account via private message (click my username and then click Send a Private Message) so that I can check the further course of action.
If the system was purchased with 3D, then here are the steps to enable stereoscopic 3D:
- Right Click on the desktop and open NVIDIA Control Panel.
- Expand stereoscopic 3D on the left hand side.
- Click Set up stereoscopic 3D
- Check the box Enable stereoscopic 3D on the right hand side.
