Inspiron 3721 wi-fi issue

Hi,

I just got my Dell Inspiron 3721 at the end of February, and have been having an issue with the wireless connectivity. I have tried resetting the router, looking for different settings on the PC itself and nothing, so I was hoping someone here could help me.  I know it's not my wi-fi because my cell phone, tablets & all others stay connected fine, but every so often when I'm on my laptop, if I try to open a website, the wi-fi icon in the toolbar will get a yellow triangle (meaning no internet access) ..it stays that way for anywhere from 1-5 mins then seems to reconnect itself.  I don't know what the issue could be but it is a bit annoying.  Has anyone else experienced this or know of a way to solve it? I've basically just been dealing with it, but it's such a pain, I thought I'd come here for some help.  Is there something I'm missing or not doing correctly?

Thank you in advance for any help or assistance you can provide! :)

Hi Heather,

Thanks for providing us this information. Please check the link below to update the wireless card driver :

http://dell.to/WWfynS

Also, it would be advisable to have only one security software running on the system.

Kindly perform these steps and let us know the results, so that we can advise you further.

Thanks and Regards

I'm running Windows 8 and the model of the wireless card is Dell Wireless 1704 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz) (I think this is what ur asking for..not sure..if not let me know where to find the model of wireless card) and I have Constant Guard Protection Suite & Norton Security Suite (both free for being a comcast subscriber) installed on my PC.

Let me know if you need anything else.  Thank you again for your assistance!

Hi Sandeep,

I am having the same issue as Heather and have installed the driver that you suggested but the problem still exists. My laptop is less than 2 months old, Dell Inspiron 3721, Windows 8.

Could you suggest a fix please?

Thanks

Hi..it's Heather again...

I'm still having the same issue.... I run the troubleshooter when I lose connection, and it doesn't actually stay connected to the WiFi unless, when running the troubleshooter, it decides to "reset the wifi adapter"...if it doesn't do this, then I have to wait for the connection to drop again & run the troubleshooter until it does. It's so very frustrating!!!! The drivers have been updated.

Is there any way to either resolve this issue permanently or a way for me to just reset the wifi adapter myself when I first log on so I don't have to wait until the connection drops & run the troubleshooter until it decides to rest the wifi adapter on it's own?!?!?!!?!

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I  found a solution to this problem, spent 3 hours in the end, change encryption, WPA 2 AES and was raised WPA 1 TKIP and it worked
