Inspiron 8500 what's wrong with LCD ?

I have 2 Inspiron 8500 from 07/03.

Few month a go with one of them, I had black screen on start up, not only with Windows, but at power on.

So I used it with an external monitor for several month.

Last week I bought in Ebay a new LCD for Inspiron 8500, I changed it, and I continue to have black screen on LCD.

Now I don’t know if it’s a software problem, or I need to change the video card.

I have the possibility to make some test, with my other Inspiron 8500.

Thank you......

Yes, with external display no problem.

Now I have put in the Inspiron with the LCD that fails, the LCD of the Inspiron that work, and black screen.

And the new LCD work in second Inspiron.

So it's not LCD problem.

Thanks for your answer.... :)

Does the system work properly with an external display?

I Bought only LCD (without inverter).

But now I have put in the Inspiron with the LCD that fails, the LCD box (with Inverter) and the grafic Card (NVidia 64MB GeForce4 4200 Go) of the Inspiron that work, and black screen.

I think it could be a software problem in the Bios....

(I also restart with Windows install CD, and nothing change)

Did you swap the whole panel (including the inverter)?
