Inspiron E1705/9400 vs 1525 power adapters

I have an Inspiron 1525, and "inherited" a Inspiron E1705/9400.  I think maybe I've mixed up which adapter goes with which computer.  They both have the same power pin, so I think either would work with either, but one is 90watt and one is 65watt.  I don't think it matters, because I see 130 and 180 watt adapters available at Dell, so I think OVER watt is ok, but is UNDER watt? Also, I would really like to keep the adapter that came with the 1525 with it, as it is at least a year newer.  I'm selling the E1705/9400 and would like the adapter that came it to go with the computer.

I'm failry sure the 65w adapter is the 1525, but would like someone to check my reasoning.  And, just for my knowledge, would using a 65w adapter on a computer that came with a 90w adapter cause any harm?

Following are specs from the adapters?

Inspiron E1705 (9400)
90W-AC Apadter
PA-10 Family
DP/N: DF266
PA-1900-01D3
Model No: LA90PS0-00

WHITE LABEL:
CN-ODF266-71615-735-6A3E
REV A03

In Dell Support, when I look at parts for this computer, what is available are 90 watt adapters:
Manufacturer Part# : HH44H | Dell Part# : 332-1833.
But, Part#'s don't tell me anything, as I don't see anything like that on the adapter itself.
Also, I see Dell has "you might also consider" a 130watt and a 180watt adapter.

Inspiron 1525
65W-AC Adapter
PA-12 Family
DP/N: DF263
PA-1650-06D3

wHITE LABEL:
Model No: LA65NS0-00
CN-ODF263-71615-87T-AFCC
REV A03

In Dell Support, when I look at parts for this computer, what is available are: First, 90watt adapters (same model# as above), and a 130watt, and then:
Refurbished: Assembly 65-Watt AC Adapter for Select Dell Inspiron / Latitude / XPS
Manufacturer Part# DF263
Dell Part# DF263

I see the DF263 matches the SP/N of the adapter I have that I think is the 1525.

Thanks, Steve

65W is fine for the 1525 - it was never offered with other than Intel video.

90W is required for the other system particularly if it has an nVidia or ATI video card in it.

Don't see where I can edit original post, but correction:
