Inspiron e1705/9400 CPU Upgrade possible?

Hello,

I've been researching past 3 hours to find out if I can have my current T5600, 1.83 upgraded to a faster CPU. I've been using   "Inspiron e1705/9400 CPU Upgrade" in Dell Forum and Yahoo but I wasn't able to get any decent information.

My warranty just expired so I've upgraded the memory to 4 gig with Vista business 64 bit and  I'd love to upgrade the CPU to turn it in to a perminent desk top.

1. Service manual says the CPU can be replaced but I read that some CPUs are perminiently embeeded on the monther board.  Is the CPU replaceable?

2. If the cpu is replaceable/upgradeable, what are my choices?

3. If the CPU can not be upgraded, can the motherboard with fast cpu replace my current motherboard andwhat are my choices?

Here is my currrent spec.
