Insprion 9300 Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000 boot up problems
Problem Description:
My system will not boot past the initial BIOS boot up screen when the USB keyboard (Microsoft comfort curve keyboard 2000) is plugged in. This keyboard will work fine if I keep it unplugged until windows loads up. (This would be quite an inconvenience to me to have to keep unplugging and plugging in)
Troubleshooting that I have already performed:
1. Tried 2 other USB keyboards with my laptop (Inspiron 9300). They worked perfectly as expected.
2. Upgraded the BIOS from A04 to A05. Loaded default values in BIOS. Problem still persists.
3. Tried the keyboard in question with another Inspiron my business owns. The laptop (Inspiron 8600) booted perfectly. I was even able to maneuver within the BIOS screen with the USB keyboard.
Conclusions:
I believe this problem to be a BIOS related one. I am hoping that by posting here I can either get help or feedback in solving this issue. Since I believe this to be a BIOS issue, I hope DELL will see this thread and make adjustments to their BIOS.
Anyone else experiencing anything similar to this?

Please note this same thread as well and pass this information on to whoever handles these issues and creates updates to the BIOS.
