I don't think you just get to pay by activating it in the bios.
It seems that unless you bought it with your original configuration and switched the bios to activate it, you must purchase the lojack software first, and then register it. Then activate the bios part if not activated.
I bought lojack software at compusa for $50 before the two $10 rebates. So $30 for a year after rebates.
