Keyboard and mouse won't work when D800 is in docking station

This is a duplicate of the issue I posted several days ago.  The D800, which previously worked in its D/Dock docking station, will not recognize the keyboard and mouse when in the docking station.  The monitor works fine.  I am not sure about the battery recharging and the network card.  This same behavior is seen when the same laptop is plugged into duplicate docking stations which are known to work.  The OS is W2KPro and the BIOS is A06.  I realize that there is a newer version of the BIOS which I could apply, but I am not sure that the BIOS is the problem.  Can anyone assist?
