LATITUDE D531 white screen

I have read posts about this model D531 having the screen white. When talked to a DEll technician the first thing they say is to change the LCD screen. Tried that and doesn't work. Some other forums say bad connection. Does Dell come with a solution to that? what side of the connection should i check or try to repair???  Changed cables and Inverter. Still can work with external screen.
