LS - W2K upgrade - no audio after undocking

After installing W2K, my LS looses it's sound when I undock.  After a reboot in the dock or out of it, the sound is fine.  If I undock, I loose the audio, if I re-dock it, still no audio.

I did not have this problem with Win98.  Any advice is welcome.  Thanks.

Is the BIOS up to date (i.e., most current version)?  If not, that would be the place to start.

Yes I am running the A09 BIOS and have loaded the latest audio and video drivers.

To resolve this behavior, enable the ISA-to-PCI routing feature to allow these PC Cards to function in laptop computers:

1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
2. Locate and click to select the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\PCMCIA\Parameters
3. On the Edit menu, click New, click DWORD Value, type DisableIsaToPciRouting in the NewValue box, and then press ENTER.
4. Click to select DisableIsaToPciRouting, click Edit, and then click Modify.
5. In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
6. Quit Registry Editor.
This procedure enables PCI routing for 16-bit PC Cards aka ISA cards.

Legacy crystal Audio is ISA not PCI sound.

An interesting add on is this

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Pcmcia\Parameters]
"DisableIsaToPciRouting"=dword:00000000

Some 5V PCMCIA cards also need
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Pcmcia\Parameters]
"IrqRouteToPciController"=dword:00000006

Thanks.  I tried both of these registry changes with no apparent change.  I did notice in testing however that if I open the advanced volume controls and
uncheck the "enable docking speaker" that I do get consistent sound from the PC speaker when I dock and undock it - just no sound from the external speakers plugged into the dock.  I'm guessing that that is the same as before.
