Latitude 5580 touchpad/track stick not working with CentOS 6.9

Bios 1.5.3

Service Tag:  8PLJWD2

Does anybody know how to get the touchpad and track stick working with CentOS?  I have 3 of these new laptops and none of the touchpads work with CentOS.

The touchpad and track stick work great in the Bios, but not in the OS.

I realize that Ubuntu ships from the factory, but we have a requirement for CentOS (which is basically the same as Red Hat).

I tried a few fixes that I found on Google but no luck.

SNAFOO123,

Unfortunately, Dell did not create any CentOS drivers for this system.

Who makes the touchpad and track stick?  Synaptics?

SNAFOO123 ,

The touchpad that is installed in the 5580 is an Alps Touchpad.

The Latitude 5580 touchpad and track-stick work with CentOS 7.4 out of the box.  No additional configuring or drivers were needed.
