Latitude CP M233XT Video problem

My display first started displaying random pink pixels over the entire screen, looking like one of those topological maps that measure elevation (in circles, in somewhat of a pattern).

Now I have pink, blue and sometimes green pixels in that same sort of topological pattern.  I have this problem in safe mode too.

I have reinstalled my video drivers, didn't fix the problem.

Any ideas -- do I need to but a new notebook?

Thanks to anyone who can help!!!!

Sarah

Hello skenick,

Welcome to the Dell Community Forum,

I would suggest to connect your system to an external monitor to see If the problem shows on it. If so the problem is with the video card. If the system shows fine on the external monitor then you are having a problem with the LCD. Are you seeing the problem during the post?

Thanks,
