Latitude CPx - Samsung CD-ROM SN-124 boot driver

I have a Latitude CPx that is currently running Windows 95 (i know...don't laugh). I want to wipe it clean and install Windows XP. I have not done this before, and from what I have read I need a boot disk that will start my computer after I have reformatted the hard drive. I have also read that the boot disk that is created in Windows 95 does not include the driver for the CD-ROM. I looked in my configuration and it told me that I have a Samsung CD-ROM SN-124. I do not know how to find the driver for this CD-ROM. I was hoping someone out there might have it, or could tell me where to find it. I have looked on cnet.com and could not find it. Also, if anyone could give me any advice, instruction, or pointers on reformatting and installing a new OS that would be most appreciated.

Thanks

If your bios is old, you should update it first.  Then delete all the partitions on your hard drive, install the save to disk partition, with the remainder for C partition.  Format the hard drive, reboot, and set the bios boot sequence to boot from CD.  Windows XP is self-booting, so it will start loading, and all you need to do is follow the prompts.   I believe all the drivers necessary are in XP, but you might want to use the latest Dell drivers for the Video and sound.
