Latitude vs Inspiron

I am looking into a laptop and was wondering what is the difference between the Latitude group
and the Inspirion group?
thanks

In the future, by using the Advanced Forum Search on the bottom of this page, you can quite easily find the answer to this often asked question.  This has been asked and answered many times over the years.

Latitudes are for business users, not consumers, at least in Dell's mind.  The warranty is usually longer at 3 years, whereas Inspirons may come with 90 days or 1 year, which can be extended.  Inspirons are sometimes not as well built (i.e. sturdy), but I've liked my I8100 and 600ms.  Inspirons also have more junk loaded by Dell on them.  Latitudes offer docking stations, Inspirons no longer do.  Lastly, Latitudes nearly always COST MORE.
