M15x crashing

Hi All,

Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place but I thought I'd give it a go.

I recently purchased an Alienware M15x laptop through Dell (Nov 2009) and have started to experience a recurring problem. I tried the alienware site but couldnt find any answers and was unable to login so decided to try here.

Several times now my laptop has just completely frozen. Whether is was when playing games or just browsing the net, a few times now it has just frozen. The screen didnt die nor did the laptop reboot. It literally just froze at whatever I was doing with no responce from keyboard or mouse and would stay like that until shutdown at the power button.

I'm not the greatest when it comes to computer hardware, etc but do intend to follow the Dell support suggestions tonight (ie check drivers, run a virus scan, etc). However, I've had very little luck with PC/laptops over the last few years and have gotten paranoid when stuff like this happens, as such I would appreciate any suggestions on the source of the problem and any possible solutions.
