Memory error message (unable to download pdf files)

Question

Hello. Have a memory issue/error message.

I have a Dell Inspiron 9400 laptop, 1 GIG RAM, using XP OS.

Video Card: Radion ATI Mobility Radion X1400(Ox7145), 256 MB Memory.

BIOS information: BK-ATI VER009.012.001.009.019350

Error Code message:

type Exception report

message Internal Server Error

description The server encountered an internal error (Internal Server Error) that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

exceptionjavax.servlet.ServletException: Servlet execution threw an exception
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

Essentially what happened is that I attempted to download an 18MB pdf file (as I have done frequently before, successfully). The computer took an inordinately long time to process, and eventually I aborted (several times). Now I receive the error message quickly.

Have no problem opening a similar size pdf file, simply cannot download a pdf file of any size now.

Surely would appreciate knowing how to solve this problem myself. Thank you.

There is nothing wrong with your laptop. It is a problem with the server that you are downloading from. All that you can do is contact them and inform them of the issue.
