just curious but how did you get that ram as Dell normally supplies 400Mhz ram with the 6000 series?
the 533Mhz ram usually is reserved for the 9300 and xps models!
Sorry for the late reply
Here is the info of my memory:

Hi Bac,
I ordered this 6000 in Singapore. The configuration says its DDR2 533Mhz.
I have not open up the ram module to have a look.
Cheers

could you run CPU-Z to double check and post back?

ideally you want to use 2 sticks of ram of the same capacity, timings & speed to have the benefit of dual channel support.

Is that really 266Mhz or 533Mhz?

Hi Bacillus,
Thanks for that cool program.
I have checked the part no. of the RAM on hynix.com, and can confirm its a DDR2 533Mhz chip.
Strange thing that the cpuz progam reported that my RAM is PC-4300, but when I did a physical check on the RAM chip, it has PC-4200 printed on it.
Thanks
