Mouse pad and keyboard don't work simultaniously
Whenever i'm using the key board, I can't use my mousepad at the same time. For example: if i'm holding the space bar, my mouse jams and no matter what i'm doing to the mouse pad, I can't move the mouse for as long as I hold a button. This presents major problems for gaming etcetera. I am using A dell N5050. If anyone can tell me how to fix it, that would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for your help but I still can't move the mouse around when I type. I'm quite sure I did what you said but it had no effect.

Hi Moss Grande,
Please follow the steps below to fix the issue.
Go to the Start menu, control panel and click on mouse. A dialog box will appear, wherein please select the pointer options tab. Uncheck the option "Hide pointer movement while typing". This should fix the issue.
I hope this is helpful

Hi Moss Grande,
Please find few more steps for having this issue fixed
1.Go to Control Panel from your start menu and click on view devices and which is located under hardware and sounds
2.Right click on the picture of the laptop and click mouse settings.
3.A menu should pop up and you then should click on the Device Settings tab and click settings.
4.Another menu pops up and you should then click the thing that looks like + on the left side of Pointing.
5.Then click on the + on the left side of Sensitivity and then click on the thing that says PalmCheck.
6.On the right there should be a bar that says minimum and maximum. You want to slide the bar all the way to minimum.
I hope this is helpful

when I click mouse settings, the only tabs i see are:
dell touchpad
buttons
pointer
pointer options
wheel
hardware
none that saydevice settings. Or am I on the wrong menu? The menu I am on is called mouse properties.

After further research I have realised that it was that i needed to disable palmcheck but I have no idea why I don't have the device settings tab on my mousepad options.
Help?

In the Touchpad settings Disable "TouchCheck" and then apply. that's all you need to do.
