My Inspiron 9400 takes too long to turn off

Hi,

I reinstalled the operating system from a CD ( Windows XP Media Center), installed Dell drivers and utilities, then installed recommended updates from Windows Update.

The Computer works fine except when I want to restart or turn it of, it takes about 15 minutes to turn off.

Could someone help please what do I need to do to fix it.
