New Dell XPS 17 Laptop with Sound and performance issues

So I bought a new XPS from Dell's website, custom built right around a month ago.  Since I've gotten it, I have been dealing with performance issues and sound issues.  Whenever I am watching any type of media, the sound will cut in and out, and also has a tendency to glitch up the sound and it sounds really loud and distorted.

As for the performance issues, this happens quite frequently, but I will be doing something and my entire computer will just start to bog down, the mouse (using either a touch pad or an actual mouse) will begin to skip, typing will be delayed, browsing any sort of internet site will have a huge amount of lag and any media I play will skip to the point nothing is watchable.

So if anyone else has experienced this issue, I could really use some input on how to fix this.  I have reinstalled the sound and mouse drivers, this was dell's solution and it did nothing.  HEre are the specs

Still having these issues if anyone has any suggestions I really hate how a brand new lags up while surfing the internet.

1.  I would open up your your Dell Support Center software and run a PC Checkup up.  If everything checks out...

2.  Run an A/V check.  If everything OK...

3.  I would contact Tech Support and have them "connect" to your computer.  Surely they would be able to notice lags, etc...

Eliminate Flash player. Make sure you have the latest version both for IE and any other browser such as Firefox. So check and update using IE and then check again using Firefox or whatever.

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Flash Player. To do this right click on a flash object such as the picture on the page linked above or a YouTube video, left click the leftmost icon on the bottom of the resultant menu and then un-check "Enable hardware acceleration".

Also make sure Java is up to date.

Otherwise I would be looking for a bad hardware driver. Could be video or wireless adapter. Anything really. Or an outdated anti-virus program or installation issue..
