New XPS 15 Mouse Cursor Lagging / Ghosting on desktop

Hi,

I recently bought the new XPS 15 laptop and since receiving it the cursor laggs when I open the start menu and move it over the border onto the desktop. It also continues by itself even when I remove my hand from the touchpad and takes some time to respond.

If I have another window open on the desktop and open the start menu the cursor works fine over that menu also but once over the border and hovering over the desktop the lagg starts again. It works perfectly otherwise, just once the start menu is up. Also works fine in safe mode and as I said has been like this since receiving the laptop.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks for your reply. No I have not been using an external monitor at all just my laptop and it has been like this since initially using the laptop from factory settings. Please see my private message for service tag and e-mail.

same problem..did the complete update... from Dell including BIOS.... still very laggy.

When as far as Intel update and found a neweer driver for the HD GRaphics 630, but cannot install it over a [dell] custom driver....Intel also has some ChipSet drivers that were different, but I don't want to somehow destroy my backup image or worst, brick the system, so I did not install them...waiting for Dell to respond, or have a few days remainings to return the XPS to Dell.

Same here. Cursor laging and blue screen. Edge browser won't play some videos and crashes to blue screen if I try. Youtube videos lag. Chrome won't work, freezes. Dell "PcDoctor" found some ssd problems too. Ugh!

One week old laptop and already thinking return. Waiting response from Dell service. No luck yet. Hardly made the service request with Edge.

Hi, I had to create a new user account and the problems resolved on that user.
