No display when rebooting in docking station
Hello,
I have a new Dell Precision M6700 laptop running Win 7 32-bit. I also have a Dell LCD E2210f monitor, and a Dell docking station.
When I reboot my laptop while it is connected to the docking station nothing is displayed on the monitor, even though the monitor power light remains on (blue). When I detach the laptop and open it, nothing is displayed on the laptop's screen either.
If I reboot the laptop when it is not connected to the docking station, the laptop's display is fine, and if I then close the lid and attach the laptiop to the docking station the monitor display is fine too.
Can anyone suggest which settings I need to adjust in order to solve this problem?
Thanks very much
David

Sounds strangely like a problem that I am experiencing with my M6700 in a docking station. I traced the problem back to BIOS version A11. My M6700 doesn't boot at all after flashing the system BIOS to version A11. Check your BIOS version and try flashing back to A10 to see if that resolves your problem. I think you and I may be experiencing the same problem.
