Not Recognizing my wireless adapter on Dell Inspiron 1545
I need some help please.
My hard drive went back and I had to replace it. I had Dell send me a recovery disk for Window Vista Home. After I loaded the software from the disk and tried to connect to the internet I received the following message:
The computer does not have a network adapter installed and confirgured
I'm also getting:
Windows needs to install driver software for your Ethernet Controller
Did Dell send me the wrong disk???
Thank you in advance of your responses.

You need to install the drivers in correct order. The Notebook System Software and the Chipset drivers must be installed first before all other drivers or the the other drivers do not install properly. The reinstall disk is for the operating system and the drivers are available at your download page at Dell Support--if you didn't receive a separate Drivers & Utilities Disk. Look for the notebook system software under system utilities.
