On Bootup - Error Message "The TPM could not be initialized"
I have a Latitude D610 giving me problems. When you power on the laptop after the BIOS splash screen, I get a Error Message, "The TPM could not be initialized". Then I can either continue to boot the OS or I can go to setup utility. Any idea what this error message means?
Any information would help. Thanks in advance. :)

Laptop boots to:
"WARNING: The TPM could not be initialized."
" Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility"
TPM is the Trusted Platform Module and has controls in the system BIOS. I've tried enabling/disabling this, with no luck. Also, with this TPM error, the NIC is not usuable. If I didn't need the NIC, I could disable TPM to bypass the error.
I've also tried reflashing the system BIOS with no luck.
Odd that three machines are having a problem on the same day. I'll probably end up giving DELL a call today. I will post my findings here.

Second half hour was him convicing me to run a system restore.
The last hour was him having me reinstall Broadcom TPM drivers over and over.
They are sending me a new motherboard to see if that resolves it.

Let me know how you get on - I don't fancy sending my laptop off or whatever for no reason and it's just coming up to the time when I need this thing.

It could have something to do with either the LAN cable or power cable being connected during boot.
