Precision m4600 w/ NVIDIA Quadro 2000M not HDCP
Dell Precision M46000 -
Windows 7 Enterprise (64-bit), running Windows Media Center, attempting to play DRM content from a SiliconDust HDHomeRun Prime with configured CableCARD will not play CCI Protection: protected-copyonce on the Laptop Display.
Looking at the NVIDIA Control Panel, Workstation, View system topology, Laptop Display, HDCP: Not supported!
Is this due to the "Generic PnP Monitor" driver used for the display, or are we really required to use an external monitor that is HDCP compliant to view DRM content with this laptop? I have noticed that many Unrestricted content will display the "Display video error" in WMC, but after minimize/maximize, sometime they will start to play. Other will play for a few seconds and quit with the same error message. PlayReady has been uninstalled and reinstalled several times, Digital Cable Adviser has been run countless time to no avail. Anyone got a fix for this?

Can anyone confirm this on another M4600 with NVIDIA Quadro 1000m or 2000m?
Thanks.

If the connection to the screen is embedded displayport (eDP) and not LVDS, then HDCP won't be supported.
At least some of the E-series Dells (of which this is one) use eDP rather than LVDS.
