QuickSet app or equivalent for Win7-64 on Latitude
I have a Dell Latitude D360 and recently updated my OS to Win 7 Professional (64-bit). I desperately need an app that will disable the touch-pad when an external mouse is connected. I did this before with QuickSet but cannot find a download for this app for my new configuration.
Can anyone suggest a utility that will provide this functionality? If my input focus jumps one more time during typing I may take a hammer to whole thing!

Try Quickset.exe 64bit/Vista

It is possible that Quickset may rely on Dell's touchpad driver - it's usually the touchpad driver that allows to enable or disable the touchpad
Dell's Vista touchpad driver is for 32bit only but might work (try compatibility mode)

Create a system restore point before installing the drivers - just in case the installations cause problems....

Thanks MICROTEST,
That was probably an initial issue. I was able to locate a Win7-64 driver in Dell support (DELL_TOUCHPAD----POINTING-ST_A11_R231736.exe), which is providing some TouchPad functionality, including a sensitivity setting that may have solved my problem, although it does not provide the disable when external mouse attached. Half a loaf better than none. ;-)
