Please help me understand if computer is asking for windows password (where the computer boots up after windows log on screen) or Is it after Dell logo(BIOS password).

Once you get a BIOS password screen, look for error that is displayed at the bottom half of the screen.

okay sir,.. i made my laptop vostro 1540. to windows8 when i restart my lappy.. i got  system password now that is may problem. i`ve looking for password n 3 days now.. im so upset about DELL product.. hope we send to me the password  on my lappy my  SERVICE TAG: <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>
