SSD issues dell xps 13 9350
Hi,
After two days of using the xps 9350 i decided to restore it to factory settings. Mid-restore it crashed and wouldn't let me boot into windows again. I had to do a clean-install of windows and install the SSD driver before the windows installation in order to even find it on the computer.
On BIOS firmware 1.1.5 BIOS diagnostics it kept telling me "no hard drive is installed, do you want to continue testing?" I thought it might be because I had an SSD, not HDD so i ignored it.
I recently updated to 1.1.7 and ran the diagnostics again, this time i got a critical error message with an error code of 0151.
Is anyone else getting this message on their xps 9350 or should i call dell and get a replacement SSD? And if they replace it, how will that work with my files etc?
Thank you in advance,
Sebastian

I had a similar experience. I have had my dell xps 13 (9350) for a few days.
The trackpad stopped working while I was reading a pdf file. I tried to reboot via touchscreen but would not reboot. I just saw Dell logo and white dots go around. I turned it off and on again. Now it said preparing to automatic repair...this went on "forever."
Then the computer showed the same critical error with code 0151.
I contacted Dell rep and they made me go through a diagnostic test and got the same result. They suggested that I send in the laptop for repair.
Yesterday I was able to reboot the laptop and has been working fine. I am baffled that the computer is working now even though the diagnostic test indicates hard drive failure?!
Now I can't decide to send in the computer for repair or keep using it until it crashes again. I am worried that I will lose the 30-day return policy window.

Hi Sebbe91,
I have the same issue (error code 0151) with one of my XPS 9350 with 1.1.7 BIOS
Boot to Windows works perfectly but there is this error on BIOS diagnostics.
Maybe it's due to the new BIOS 1.1.7 ?
Have you call Dell support about that ?
Thanks.
