Sending BIOS display to HDMI out.

Hi, all

I have an XPS M1530 with the infamous GPU, and it's out of warranty. The LCD only displays the typical gray lava lamp, and then goes to vertical colored bars. The monitor out and HDMI out seem to work fine, but I can't get the BIOS to go to either of them.

I want to feed my HDMI TV with this unit.

After that, I'll reinstall Vista, and tweak it for video/audio playback.

Is there a way to set the BIOS default display to HDMI?

FN+F8 doesn't work until the OS begins to load.

Even the keystrokes would be fine (eg, F2 to go to BIOS, keystrokes to get to video output, etc.). Keep in mind that I won't be able to see where the keystrokes are taking me.

Currently, the machine has the original BIOS, in the default configuration.
