Streaming video problem
I have an Inspiron 1505 and recently streaming on line video just stops after about 5 seconds of play. Could this be a hardware problem, can someone please give me some ideas? Many thanks.

Hi vos3750tro,
Welcome to the Community.
Please consider updating the flash player, please reset the browser settings. Also see if you can use the media graphics accelerator properties by right clicking on the website . If none of these steps works please try to use another browser and if it streams fine we can definitely eliminate the possibility of hardware issue. Please let us know the status once you try this.
Thanks & Regards

Will local (stored on the hard drive) videos play? Is it just one website (like youtube)? Is Flash and Java up to date?

Hi Vos3750tro,
Welcome to the Dell Community.
I have a recommendation to fix this issue.
1). We can upgrade the flash player by downloading the latest version , please click the link below
get.adobe.com/flashplayer
2). Upgrading the latest java version by visiting this link below
http://www.java.com/en/
3). Installing the latest driver for the video card on your system
We can visit on support site at www.dell.com/.../NeedProductSelection
and enter the service tag of your computer to download the latest video driver. Also under Search bar , kindly put this article ID 266522 for relevant drivers.
These procedures may yield good results. Kindly reply if this helps us fixing the issue.
Thanks & Regards

Thanks for your reply. Yes, stored videos will play without problems. Only streaming video gives the problem. My software is up to date.

Hi vos3750tro,
Have you tried different browsers? Also when the flash player is running right click it and enable the hardware acceleration for the player which you will find under settings option.
Please find the below mentioned links which explains about enabling the hardware acceleration.
