I'd  suggest you click on link below, stroll down to Firmware and then expand it. Please download Dell Firmware Update.

Hi KH2000,

What is the exact system model? What is the current OS installed on the system? When did the issue start? Does this happen with or without the adapter connected?

Check if the touchscreen is detected and enabled under HID in device manager.

Update the BIOS and the firmware (if available) - http://dell.to/1n3X2po - enter the service tag and download the BIOS, update and restart the machine and check.

Also, please click my DELL-username and write me a private conversation with the service tag and your contact details(Name and Email) for case records.

Let us know if you have any other queries.

Hi all,

I have a Inspiron 13 7368 2-in-1 with the exact same problem with kh2000

My Service Tag: CSZ8WB2 Express Service Code: 27873642638

I have updated the BIOS after this problem occured but it did not helped. The touch screen is detected and enabled under HID in device manager.

Please advice. It sometimes work but I could not understand the reason. It is an intermittent problem. I do not believe HW is wrong. Looks like a driver problem.

Unfortunately your suggestions did not help. Touch functionalty is completely dead for the last two days.

It did not work even in BIOS screen. By the way I am not sure it should work or not in BIOS menu screens !!??

Lastly,.....

Run "hardware & devices" troubleshooting tool on system. Please type Troubleshooting Control Panel onto [Cortana] search box, click on 'View All', and then Hardware & Devices. I suggest you run other tools as well, see image below:

Thanks much for this suggestion. It really worked. When I saw the description of the Firmware I was suspected because of my system does not have a hard drive but touch screen is functional again.

Best Regards from Istanbul.
