Two Instances of Display Adapter Drivers and Monitor in Device Manager

These questions pertain to an Inspiron 300m with XP PRO installed

I noticed that under Display Adapter and Monitor in Device Manager, the driver appears to be installed twice, that is, are two instances of the device listed. I tried unistalling them and under Display Adapter both keep re-installing. Under Monitor only one re-installs but it's the Default Monitor driver not the Dell driver.

Should there be two of each?

I'm unable to locate the Dell monitor driver on the website and am unable to re-install it. Where can I find it?

Thanks.

I think the issue with the monitor is resolved. I manually found and re-installed the Flat Panel 1024x768 driver; only one installed, so the only "issue" is with the Display Adapter driver.

It uses 855 chipset integrated video--Intel Extreme Graphics 2.

shhhh... it's normal.  Intel's architecture enumerates two display adapters and 3 display monitors when you are on LCD only...

But keep it a secret . :)
