URGENT ordered Insp 1300, no pcmcia; possible solution

I ordered an Inspiron 1300 yesterday and today realized it has no PCMCIA slot (PC Card, Cardbus) just an "expresscard." I need to connect a Creative E-Mu professional external sound card by PC card, is this possible? If not I will have to cancel.

Is this a solution: Dell canada has a Siig 11-in-1 (incl pc card) expresscard card reader
However Siig's site description of the reader does *not* list PC card as one of the formats :(

Any help much appreciated, time is of the essence

I suggest you cancel the order.

Thanks a bunch for trying Chris286... but it says it doesn't work with 32 bit (cardbus) cards, i need a type 2 cardbus slot for the E-mu...

Anyone?

Read a bunch of similar topic posts, hard to believe dell sells pc card-less laptops and no adaptor solution even exists. Sighh. I emailed sales and asked their opinion too and if there was no solution forthcoming we'd have to cancel.

Left phone message with internet sales dept to cancel order, found an HP twice as fast and triple the warranty for almost the same price. Thanks to everyone who tried to help.
