UnLock a Dell Bios, Cost, or Purchase Another Dell M6300 motherboard

Hi All, just purchased a perfect Dell Precison M6300 Laptop for a give away price. The Laptop is 100% locked

My delimar is the laptop is completely locked, This leaves me with so many options I am looking for a possible reasonable cost to fix.

A) I can do a warranty transfer attempt, if that works what will Dell Charge to un lock the laptop?

B) Can I purchase an extended warranty from Dell and have the laptop unlocked

C) I can purchase a working used board from the online network. Or even purchase an entire new base, motherboard and palm rest for $125. US

Any and all suggestions are welcome.:emotion-5:

Once the ownership is transferred, the call costs about $60.

New motherboard WILL NOT FIX a locked hard drive. That would need to be replaced also.

Better off to buy a used D630 or other Dell Laptop under $300.

If you attach a NEW hard drive to the board IT TOO Will be locked and useless from that point on.

Thx, but not a fix for me, just grab another board or donor laptop for $50.00..... This is a 17" very powerful laptop with an X7900 cpu, 8gb ram and 500gb HD, I don't believe any D laptops can get close to this.....

If you've purchased the system used and it's locked, contact the seller - if they can't provide the password, return the system for a refund.
