Upgrading the RAM for Studio 1558

Hi friend,

I have a Studio 1558 laptop with 4GB of RAM, which not too much, So I want now it to upgrade.

My question is that, what is the maximum limit of RAM supported  by may Studio 1558 laptop?

If possible then I would like to upgrade with 16 or 8 GB. Please suggest.

Thanks and best regards,

Try non-Value RAM (i.e., Kingston KTD RAM, Crucial, etc. -- anything but "Value RAM" or "Value Select" etc.).

I've the same error with the KVR16LS11/4. I already compared the specs of crucial: Crucial 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3-1600 SODIMM with Kingston: KVR16LS11/4 4GB 1Rx8 512M x 64-Bit PC3L-12800 CL11 204-Pin SODIMM, and are the same, both memories works on CL11.

Please if anyone have a solution about this topic....

Next step, comming back where i bought them and change them by 1 of KVR1333D3S9/8G to see if will work

Proably here is the solution, i've to try it:

Use Kingston KVR16S11/4 instead of KVR16LS11/4; because HM55 Express Chipset only supports 256Mx8bits inserts and my ram has 512Mx8bits
