Vertical black, blue lines in LCD screen
My inspiron 8000 laptop screen has no picture, just four vertical black or blue lines ( width half inch). When I connected an external monitor, the external monitor works fine. I am not sure if the screen's backlight or inverter broken. Anybody can help?

According to your description of your problem, it sounds like there is a problem with the inverter cable which you can try to reseat to resolve your problem or you can contact tech support for repair.
