Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit - worked fine, but slow
Ubuntu 12 (dual booted) - worked fine
All of my games worked on both OS!
OpenGL worked perfectly.
What I have now: (after clean install)
Windows 8 Pro 32bit (System properties says I have 32bit OS, but a x64 based processor for some reason).
Ubuntu 12 (dual booted)
Although OpenGL is apparently installed - I found C:\Windows\System32\opengl32.dll, it's not working anymore - Blender refuses to render with OpenGL.
Some 3D games work, but the majority of them won't. All of the Counter Strike games menus open fine, but when you load a map they lag to 1/2 a frame a second with looping audio. This is a problem on both OS. I think this is because of OpenGL but I'm probably missing more drivers. I can't find the right download for OpenGL anywhere, and the Dell drivers site didn't have what I needed.
Any suggestions? Any more details I should put up?
