Volume goes down automatically

Hi All,

I have a Dell XPS 15 Lx502 with JBL Speakers, My volume goes down automatically while watching a movie or anything and it keeps on decreasing as time passes, it again comes up when i pause the movie for about 10 mins. I am completely dumb in this regard any help is much appreciated.

P.S.: 1)I have reinstalled Realtek audio drivers

          2) Uninstalled McAfee (saw in some other post it can cause such a pain !!)

          3) Removed all Bluetooth audio devices

Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Siva

Hi ,

Regret the inconvenience caused .I would suggest you to try these steps ,

*Open "Sound" applet from Control Panel. You can also access it directly using "mmsys.cpl" command in RUN or Start Menu searchbox. Or right-click on Speaker icon present in system tray and select "Playback devices" or "Recording devices" or "Sounds" option.

*Now go to "Communications" tab and check the option "Do nothing" and Apply it.

*Kindly try these steps and advise the result .

Hoping to hear from you soon .

Kindest Regards,

For Hemanta Kumar,

Description

Thermal protection algorithm will detect wrong impedance at first, which cause audio codec think temperature is too high then reduce amplifier output. It cause sound volume will fade-out when play music.

Solution

For Inspiron 5368/5568/7368/7569/7778, guide customer update audio driver to V8158 or later to fix the issue.

For Inspiron 5378/5578/7378/7579/7779, guide customer update audio driver to V8166 or later to fix the issue.

Help me to confirm if above works.
