Warranty void?
I have a dell inspiron 5558.
I want to replace the optical drive with a HDD. Do I break my warranty?
Dell offers a guide to do such a thing.I understant there is no warranty for the new hardware( which is pretty obvious) but what about everything else?

That part is considered user-replaceable -- that said, any damage done in installing it would not be covered by warranty. Also be sure you keep the original drive in case any warranty work is required.
