Webex Issue with Sharing Desktop
I have an XPS 13 9343 with USB3 Dock running Windows 7 Professional x64.
When I have multiple monitors connected (Same issue for one or two external monitors) I am unable to share my desktop in WebEx. The screen goes black or remains unchanged. Moving the mouse cursor over the display area "paints" and reveals the shared desktop in small blocks I can only move the mouse around until I see the "Stop Sharing" button and click on it..
I can only use this desktop sharing feature on the tiny screen with no external monitors connected.
In anticipation - I can move any other application from monitor to monitor without problem. Video refreshes normally under any other circumstance that I've tried - so far, it's just WebEx that's killing this purchase.
Is this the trade-off for wanting a smaller/lighter laptop?

Hi iowjfktr5ui,
Thanks for posting on the Forum.
WebEx is a Cisco software product, and our engineers have not tested it in the situation you are describing. Your best solution would be to contact Cisco support and get them to assist. In the meantime, here is an article that might prove useful.
Regards,
Robert

No problem, we just tested it for you.
It would appear that it is a limitation of the dock. HDMI and Display Port (on the dock) both exhibit this nastiness.
Using the Mini Display Port directly from the laptop resolves the issue. Now... Where can I get a monitor that will daisy chain via Display Port? That way, I might get the full potential from this laptop.
