What's the proper procedure for undocking a laptop?
I've got an e6510 with a Dell dock, and whenever I undock it (while connected through the dock/ethernet, and wirelessly) the wireless connection becomes disconnected and I need to reboot in order to get everything running again. How should I be doing it?

I am assuming that while docked you are using an Ethernet connection and going to wireless while undocked. I would check the wireless icon on the bottom right hand side of the task bar and check if the notebook is actually seeing any wireless networks. If so, you should be able to select your wireless network and click connect and be good to go.
If your notebook has a Intel wireless adapter the following link may provide some help in setting up a wireless profile to auto connect

This way you can select the wireless network that you wish to connect with and have the computer automatically connect when there are no other connections. Just click Advanced and then auto select.
