Windows 7 Drivers for Latitude D400
I have just installed Windows 7 Pro 32-bit on my Latitude D400. All hardware seems to be working properly except for the display - I can only get basic VGA resolution (640x480). It appears that I need an updated chipset driver but I cannot find a suitable one on the Dell support site and I cannot find a discussion thread here on the forums that seems to address my need. Does anyone have suggestions for fixing this? Thanks.

Hi,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Since we have not tested this computer with Window s7 operating system we do not have windows 7 driver for this computer
However still you can check the driver from individual component manufacturer on google.
Thanks,

Try to install the Windows XP driver. It will most likely work, even if you have to manually install it through the device manager. And the Windows XP driver won't give you "ooh shiny" aero glass, but that computer must be pretty close to being 10 years old, if it's not already. However, the Windows XP driver will give you the native resolution and some slightly better performance than the "Standard VGA Adapter" driver, or whatever it's called. Alternatively: You could just use Windows XP and everything would work as it should.
