XPS 13 9360 Heat Issues

I recently bought an XPS 13 and I'm experiencing a lot of heat for some reason. Since it is new, I doubt it's a problem due to dust blocking the air intakes. At idle, it runs at around 40C which is 15-20C above ambient, and right after boot up, on low loads (30%), the temperature reaches up to 101C which is definitely not ideal. Watching YouTube can also bump it up to 99C.

Hi aestoc,

Thanks for posting.

Apologies that your system seems to be having heat issues.  From the research I've found, the temperatures you've posted are withing specifications.  However, if you want to be sure your system is running optimally here is some information from one of the Rockstars you may find helpful.  en.community.dell.com/.../20015413
