XPS 14 touchpad palm rejection setting not saved
Hi folks,
The touchpad on my Dell XPS 14 is driving me to distraction. The mouse pointer is constantly teleporting to random locations across the screen. Suddenly you find yourself typing in a different part of your document etc. etc,
In the Dell touchpad settings, there is a palm rejection setting. If I change this setting, press save and close the application and then reopen it, the palm rejection setting is as it was before I changed it - i.e. my change does not appear to have been registered at all.
This is really annoying - can it be fixed?

I would love to see an answer to this mousepad issue. My settings seem to be saved, but it doesn't make a difference--the curser keeps jumping all over the place no matter what. Love the computer... except for this issue.

I just purchased the XPS 14 (L421X). I love so many things about it, but the Mouse issues are INCREDIBLY distracting. If I use it with an external bluetooth mouse, I just turn the touchpad off completely (which I shouldn't have to do, but it works). But if I'm using the laptop without an external mouse, I have to hold my hands in a very unnatural position to make sure that I do not even brush the touchpad with my palms, or the cursor will jump like crazy.
Dell, you need to GREATLY improve your "Palm Rejection" feature to somehow detect that when a user is typing, to all-but-disable the touchpad. If not, I will be forced to return this laptop.
I hope you are able to resolve this.

am having the same issues. Also, if the mouse reconnects, it does not move linear. It jumps all over and must be turned off and on again.

To add to the mouse issues, the trackpad will sometimes stop working properly. Clicking the left mouse button on some boxes does nothing. The only thing that can be done to get it working again is to open up the trackpad properties box, and reset it by clicking "touchpad on/off" and then back on again and clicking save.
Driver needs to be fixed!!!!!
