Abike this was my original message to you that got deleted figured I would repost it for you.
I spent another 2 and a half hours with them on the phone today and they decided it was another bad wireless card so I will be getting another card in the mail tom. lets see if that helps.
It appears that I cant use symbols to express a word. I have now edited the letter and used the words full of it instead of the four symbols I had. What a joke.
"I have not experienced the same issue but I have had 2 replacements that came
out of the box with the internet not working. The system I have right now the
tech told me to do the same thing. My system passed everything as well. I am no
being told it is my router when every other system in the house is working just
fine. So I contact the router manufactured and they state Dell is full of it.
Call tech support back and they come to no conclusions. I keep calling everyday
hoping to get someone that actually knows what they are talking about but still
no luck yet. I have received a different explanation from ever person I have
talked to and no fix. I really liked my old system as well, but it just got to
the point were it was having some issue more then it was not. I really hope you
get the issue resolved. Instead of "Thanks for calling Dell XPS Technical
Support how may I assist you? Oh no problem I will be happy to resolve this
issue for you today!" Three weeks later still no internet. Good luck with your
DELL XPS EXPERIENCE RIGHT!!! But seriously I wish you the best of luck."
Sounds like you may have a registry problem. There are several programs you can
buy that may resolve your problem. I've used Registry Mechanic on my Windows XP OS and WinUtilities on my Vista OS.
Be careful how you use these programs as some options are for
advanced users only. I would suggest using only the "registry scan" feature of these programs and set them to create a "restore point" before allowing them to perform a fix. By creating a restore point you can return your system to its original configuration if a problem occurs. I've used both programs with success.:smileywink:
