XPS M1530 Blinking Caps Lock

My son broke a portion of the case on his XPS M1530, so I bought a new one and transfered everything over, using the instructions from the service manual. All appeared to go well, but now when I try to start up the PC, I don't see any of the POST. Rather, all I get is are the NUM LOCK, SCROLL LOCK, and a blinking CAPS LOCK lights. I suspected the keyboard connector, but I've gone back and re-seated that twice. Any other ideas would be appreciated.
