XPS13 (9343) Win10 Page Fault in NonPaged Area

Hi, My XPS13 (9343) running Windows 10 randomly crashes with a page fault in nonpaged area - as per attached screen shot. If I'm working all day it can occur 3-4 times a day mainly when I'm on webpages.

I upgraded to Windows 10 as soon as i got the laptop so I'm not sure if it would have happened in Windows 8.1

I've run the diagnostic and it's all good/passed, I've updated the bios to the latest A5 and updated all the drivers via the automatically detect drivers update but still crashes.

I initially thought it might be the Dell 4-in-1 adapter which I run a 22" screen off (so I run the laptop screen and external screen for dual screens) but it still crashes even if I don't use the adapter.

Where is the error info it collects? What can I do to pin point the reason for these crashes?

Thanks

Mine has been doing this multiple times a day since the new version of Windows 10 was automatically updated.

All of mine have been caused by:  ntoskrnl.exe  bugcheck 0x00000050

File Version:  10.0.10586.11 (th2_release.151112-1900)

One drive has nothing to do with it.  I disabled/uninstalled that before all this.

Windows 10 is a mess!!  They update everyone's PC and then use Windows drivers for everything.  This is horrible.  This is exactly why you should never upgrade and always do clean installs!!!

Dell what should we do?

Tell MS to use your drivers!!

This seems to be an issue with IPv6, I'm guessing if we all disable IPv6 it won't blue screen.

This is not a solution however, the underlying issue needs to be fixed!

Hyper-V is evil.  Caused BSOD after I installed it.  Had to do a system restore because uninstalling it didn't solve the problem.

I am also having this problem even for my newly purchased system. Dell laptops are 3rd grade in performance. Avoid it.

I had this problem right from the start when I purchased this computer in October 2015.  I was finally able to get it resolved when I found the posting on this group about the Dell Wireless adaptor.  However, a few days ago, I was requested to install a new Dell update, and now the BSOD is back with a vengeance (10-20 times per day, on a seemingly random basis).

Does anyone know what the new reason could be?  And what I can do about it?  I've had positive experiences with Dell computers, which is why I've been a repeat customer.  But I can't believe that Dell is allowing this extremely annoying and productivity-losing problem to continue.

Thank you.

Hi there,
if the problem was solved by uninstalling the Wireless Adapter driver, try doing that again.
I had the same problem because i had the auto-check option enabled in the Dell update application and it kept installing the same driver.
Dell hasn't updated that driver yet which was last updated November 18th.
Hope that helps.

Thank you.  Unfortunately, your suggestion was the first thing I checked after the problem started occurring again.

The network adaptor was not changed to the Dell one, and is "Broadcom 802.11ac Network Adapter".  This is what had occurred when the problem was fixed the first time around.  So there's something else going on now.

When uninstalling the wifi adapter in device manager, be sure to check the box "Delete hardware from System" its the only box to check. After you do it, go back to device manager, to the actions tab and scan for hardware changes. My problem was I never checked the box. IT finally worked after so many months of not knowing what I was doing wrong and getting the BSOD page fault error.. Its so simple I'm kicking myself.. Everyone posted this same fix, but never said to check the box.. CHECK THE BOX when uninstalling the device.. I promise it works. I haven't gotten the crash for so long I stopped keeping track. I in know way created this solution, it was tons and tons of investigating and reading up on page fault errors, out of a hunch I finally got the courage to delete the software when uninstalling. I was so ready to trash my laptop.. I'm thankful for a fix finally..

This is the first forum I've found that addresses this problem. I started having random problems with my wireless connection and found that the Dell "latest" driver was in fact a rollback from the one I was using. The problems started after the last major windows 10 update I think. I later got the BSOD problem and thought wow my wireless card must be faulty and it's causing a page fault. So I replaced my wireless card. No more random wireless problems now so I thought I must have another problem and just ordered some replacement RAM -lol

While I'm waiting for the new RAM to arrive I'm trying your fix and will let you know how it progresses.

But how the *** did you relate the BSOD to the wifi adapter ?

Thank you forum as I was also pulling my hair out.

this problem did cost me about 2 months energy.

at least 30 bluescreens

Thanks, dell + broadcom

1) get very old broadcom drivers .. 6.x ... no 7.xx

2) get intel card (about 20€)

3) get lenovo or apple ;-)

This is still an issue. I've deleted the device and the software, reinstalled with the latest drivers available, I still get the blue screens especially when using any torrent client.
